Ms. Nambi Jashimin Kasujja is a human rights advocate with over 10 years of experience in the human rights arena. She joined the Commission in 2011 as a volunteer under the Legal department and rose through the ranks to a human rights officer legal, Acting Regional human rights officer and currently to a Regional Human rights officer, Hoima Regional office.
She holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree from the University of Dar es Salam, Tanzania, a Post Graduate Diploma in legal Practice from the Law Development Centre and another Post Graduate Diploma in Public Administration and Management from the Uganda Management Institute. She is also a member of the Uganda Law Society and East African Law Society. She has attended several human rights courses and these include; Alternative Dispute Resolution, Business and human rights, Human Rights best approach to development, human rights monitoring and inspections, education, investigations among others. She’s passionate about business and human rights having served in a region hosting the oil and gas industry and has been gravely involved in the complaints handling process of project affected persons rendering access to justice to the victims.
