Piramoe Paul is a Principal Regional Human Rights Officer currently deployed at Moroto Regional Office with 14 year human rights expertise having joined the Uganda Human Rights Commission (UHRC), first as an intern in 2006, and later appointed a volunteer on 1st, November 2009; Human Rights Officer in charge Education from 1st April 2010 to 18th August 2018, Acting Regional Human Rights Officer from August 2018 to November 2019 and from February 2020 to April 2022 and now a Principal Human Rights Officer.

Paul holds Bachelor of Laws, Post Graduate Diploma in Public Administration and Management.

He is trained and has skills in Election Monitoring, Human Rights Based Approach to Development, Trainer of Trainers in Human Rights Education, Alternative Dispute Resolution, Performance Management, Project Cycle Management in Post Conflict Situations: Tools for Applying Human Rights Based and Conflict Sensitive Approaches, Access to Justice: Principles, Processes and Institutional Mechanisms.

 He have executed the mandate of the Commission and greatly contributed to an adequately informed and empowered citizenry that is able to participate in governance, enhanced observance of human rights and accountability through conducting and review of investigation reports and legal opinions for effective redress; enhanced effective planning, budgeting, coordination, execution of programme activities and strengthened partnerships with various stakeholders in furtherance of human rights agenda.

He is a self-driven team player with commitment and hardworking. Paul uses challenges as opportunity to learn and solve problems. He delivers under pressure and has ability to achieve targets even with inadequate resources. He can work in any physical environment.

 Paul believes that human rights respect and observance leads to meaningful and sustainable peace, justice and development.
