Launch of a Human Rights Recommendation Database

Published On August 17, 2017  |  by UHRC

Uganda Human Rights Commission Launched Human Rights Recommendation Database/Search Engine at Hotel Protea, Kampala. It is a framework for monitoring the implementation of human rights recommendations that Uganda receives from Regional and the international human rights mechanisms, i.e. the treaty bodies, the universal periodic review and the special procedures.

The Database/Search Engine is an online System where human rights organizations including UHRC and the government sectors can easily access, search and identify recommendations, the action required for implementation (indicators), the responsible government agency for implementation as well as the baseline and current status of implementation; and ensure a more wide dissemination among the general public.

The URL: www.uhrcdatabase.ug. It is fully accessible to the public.
